The Stirling Smith Art Gallery & Museum has been named Visitor Attraction of the Year at the Stirling Business Awards 2024.
The team was presented with the honour last night at the annual awards run by Go Forth Stirling BID.
The museum was among a host of award winners revealed during a black-tie ceremony at the city’s Albert Halls.
The awards were organised by the BID (Business Improvement District) to recognise and reward the city’s independent business owners, tourist attractions and charities with the winners chosen following a public vote.
Danielle McRorie-Smith, Project Director of Go Forth Stirling BID, said: “I’d like to congratulate the Smith’s team for winning Stirling’s Visitor Attraction of the Year Award.
“The museum is a fantastic example of the unique independent scene we are lucky enough to enjoy in Stirling and celebrates the city’s rich history. It brings thousands of visitors into Stirling each year and I’m delighted to see the team recognised for their hard work in creating a fantastic visitor experience.”
Caroline Mathers, Director of Stirling Smith Art Gallery & Museum said:
“Winning Best Visitor Attraction at the Stirling Business Awards is further proof of how important local museums are to communities. Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote, sending a message that the people of Stirling care deeply about their heritage.”
