The Forth Bridge, A World Heritage site: talk by Dr Miles Oglethorpe
Talk organised by the Friends of the Smith in aid of the Stirling Smith
Dr Miles Oglethorpe, Head of Industrial Heritage at Historic Environment Scotland, talks about the bridge’s journey to World Heritage status. He will describe what it took to prepare the nomination dossier, who had to be involved and what happened after it was submitted to UNESCO. He will also explain why the Forth Bridge is worthy of inclusion on the World Heritage List.
Lecture at 7.30pm, doors open at 7pm
Tickets at the door £5 (Friends £4) include tea/coffee and biscuits
