Friends of the Smith Lecture – A talk by Jean Sinclair, Willow Tea Rooms Trust

Organised by the Friends of the Smith in aid of the Stirling Smith

Tickets at the door £5 (£4 for Friends) include tea/coffee and biscuits

Jean Sinclair is the Trust Operations Manager of The Willow Tea Rooms Trust.

The Trust purchased the Grade A listed premises at 217 Sauchiehall Street in 2014 and after four years of renovation opened to the public this year. As well as restoring the original Tea Rooms and famous Salon de Luxe the building now incorporates an Interactive Visitor Exhibition, Education & Learning Suite and shop.

In her talk, Jean will tell us about how the Trust approached such an important and unique project, we will see images of the newly restored building and learn how the legacies of Mackintosh and Kate Cranston are being used to welcome schools, communities and cultural events into the building.
