Talks at The Smith: Scottish Political Economy: Then and Now

Following our celebration of Adam Smith, Professor Dow offers this fascinating exploration of Scottish political economy, from the eighteenth century to the present. She believes the tradition created by pioneers like Smith offers a valuable way of considering the pressing economic challenges we face now. Some view economics as a technical subject, best left to experts. Others say it’s time to rediscover its origins – as an application of moral philosophy.
