The Cottingley Fairies
This is the story of the most infamous photographs ever taken. In July of 1917 Elsie Wright, age 16 and Francis Griffiths, age 9, went down the hill behind their home with a camera to prove a point. The pictures they returned with would start a controversy that would last nearly 70 years.
Join photographer Gregg McNeill for a fascinating lecture on the Cottingley Fairies photographs. This lecture is appropriate for all ages and is part of Stirling Photography Festival 2024.
